Our service to employers

Since our start in 2002 MediCarrera has recruited and language trained more than 160 healthcare professionals for Swedish and Norwegian employers. During this time we have gathered valuable experience on which candidates have the best chance of long-term success.
Our goal is to provide optimal conditions for long-term recruitment by offering a large selection and a well executed training concept that includes the entire family. We strive also to simplify the process for the employer, so we take care of all the practical work involved in foreign recruitment.
Since we continuously carry out recruitment activities in a number of European countries we can find candidates even within medical specialities which are difficult in terms of recruitment and select those candidates with the best qualifications. And as we start language courses twice a year, healthcare professionals can be in place from seven to ten months after the start of a project.

A project for the entire family
In order to integrate quickly it is vital that the entire family learns the new language. Our training concept includes therefore intensive courses for all family members: language courses for the healthcare professional's spouse and children of school age plus child care for the youngest family members, thus giving the parents time to study.

Continuous language support
Several evaluations of foreign recruitment establish the importance of healthcare professionals being able to continue language training during the first few months they work in their new country. Therefore, when they start their employment they can continue to practice with a teacher through internet. They can then use medical journals whose identities have been removed along with material from their own clinics and specifically work on those areas they require based on their own situation and individual weaknesses.

Our training route

Practical help
Recruiting healthcare professionals from other countries is demanding of resources. Our concept therefore includes help with all the practical work like medical licence, residents' permits, accommodation, applications for day care facilities and schools etc. We even organise the move and offer help once in the new country with national registration, bank accounts, telephone subscriptions and other practical needs that must be solved during those early days.
